Last month I bought a pair of waxed black trousers that look like leather. I also like buying my underwear and particularly socks from H&M.

Smaller venues, like Otto in Asmalimescit and Kiki.

How would you describe your style?
I don’t really categorize the way that I dress, but I love menswear.
What did you last buy at H&M?
A ring.
Where would you take first-time visitors to Istanbul?
To Aztek, because the atmosphere of that place feels like you’re a 70s Turkish film star out partying.

How would you describe your style?
Colorful. I have a personal connection to Aztec prints and patterned jewelry.
What did you last buy at H&M?
The jacket I am wearing now is probably my most recent purchase. My favorite piece is an Aztec-printed pair of leggings that I bought a long time ago.
Where would you take first-time visitors to Istanbul?
Peyote and Munferit on Fridays and Saturdays. I also like hanging around the Tunel district, which lies at the end of Istiklal Avenue.
4. Ipek Altunmaral, graphic and interaction designer
How would you describe your style?
I get inspired by the movies – whatever I’m watching is reflected in the way that I dress. Right now, I’m really into 60s Turkish Yesilcam movies so I am wearing three-quarter length sleeves, high-waisted jeans and trenchcoats.
What did you last buy at H&M?
A white long-sleeve shirt made of very light material. I also bought some hairclips.
Where would you take first-time visitors to Istanbul?
For those who want some Istanbulian nostalgia, I can recommend Romantika, a restaurant/cafe in Fenerbahce or a whole day trip to one of the Prince Islands right across the Anatolian coast.

How would you describe your style?
It varies depending on my daily mood, but you can always see me wearing simple pieces of clothing.
What did you last buy at H&M?
A floral printed shirt, one of this season’s must-have items. I also particularly love my H&M leather wristbands, which are among my everyday wear.
Where would you take first-time visitors to Istanbul?
W Lounge in the winter, Anjelique in the summer. The Asmalimescit district is my all-season favorite for Istanbul night-outs.

Independent and comfortable.

A gray t-shirt that has a printed bridal skeleton figure on it. But my favorite item is my denim coat.

For night-outs, I can recommend Kiki.
